I had a look at my bandwidth usage track the other day and realized that I'm paying for about double what I'm using in daily traffic. Thusly, here are some things to suck that all up - some fat and some lean, some done in a studio, some done with four guys huddled around an old SM58 feeding into a little 4track Cassette recorder, and everything in between. I've re-encoded all of them down to internet-able 128kbps Mp3s for your convienience, but if anyone wants anything more, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Hope you enjoy, and as always, if you've got any questions, comments, concerns, requests, etc. Let me know!

Leave Her Johnny - I've had a lot of requests for this song, an old Sea Shanty I arranged for Four part Male Acapella, so I finally got around to sorting though my old tapes and pulling out a demo I made of it about a year ago, with Nathan Walker, Adam Spooner, and Matthias Heike. I arranged this as a school project, and ended up liking it so much that I ended up recording and performing it. If anyone wants the music, let me know and I can send that to you as well. ( Note: Yes, the tuning was awful the second chord, but after that we got better...)

Untitled Insommnia - This is what you get when you leave a bored multi-instrumentalist alone in a studio overnight...

She Don't Like Roses - I did this version of Clair Kane's "She Don't Like Roses" last year, sitting around at the end of what had been a great experience ( Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific 2005-2007 yr 32 ). It was a very surreal experience to be leaving the place where I'd lived for two years, and I'm still not sure that it's hit me that I've left, even though it's been nearly a year.

Impromtu in Am - The story behind this one is that I was visiting Sewanee, The University of the South, watching a movie called "Invisible Children", and we finished the movie, everyone else left the theatre, the projection screen rolled up, and I was left sitting face to face with a full sized Baldwin Grand Piano. I know a sign when I see one, and luckily I had my laptop with my Skype headset on me, so I literally dropped the mic into the body of the piano, sat down, and played for about twelve minutes, and this is what came out. I'm pretty happy with the recording quality, especially for having done it on a bloody be dammed Skype headset. By the way, if you get the chance to see Invisible Children, do yourself a favour and take it, it's worth watching, and as you can see by my response to it, pretty powerful.
Impromtu in Am . Mp3 - 5.4 Mb
That's all for now - but if you liked what you found here, let me know, and I'll start looking for more stuff to put out. Cheers!

P.S. To fellow Pearsonites, I'm in the process of putting together the both Pearson CDs from my years into zip files so that I can drop the entire album here, so stay tuned, and be sure to check back for when I get that up.
